Me an hour before going to the infield at Kentucky Speedway with my first ever media pass ( pass courtesy of LOS July, 2019).

My name is Jessy Miller and I am 21 years old (at time of writing). I’m a girl who has a passion for NASCAR, books and all things internet.

What free time I have outside of college, NASCAR and running this blog, I fill by reading, burning candles, listening to music and watching YouTube.

The first race I ever watched was Kyle Busch’s win in 2015 at Watkins Glen International Speedway. I know that right off the top of my head because I sat down on the floor that afternoon, took one look at the TV during the pace laps segment and I was hooked. That entire race I refused to get up or look away from the screen, even during commercials. These days I have little trouble getting up during commercials or checking Twitter during the race.

I further fell in love with NASCAR in 2016 when I was approached by Katelyn Kinnett, Co-Owner of LadiesOfSpeed.org (LOS), then called NascarFemale.com, and she offered me a position covering Team Penske. After a bit of convincing I took the position and soon was writing articles every week covering Brad Keselowski (No. 2), Joey Logano (No. 22), and Ryan Blaney (No. 21 for Wood Brothers Racing as a Penske affiliate until he officially joined Penske in 2018 in the No. 12).

I helped edit for LOS during late 2016 and for a large part of 2017. During this time I also helped create the Journey to Cup page on their site and currently still cover Harrison Burton (No. 18 team KBM in the NGOTS) on his own journey to the Cup Series.

I started this blog in November of 2018, dropped my Penske page, and the rest is history. Well, you can’t view it on here anymore after the Big Update of 2019 because all my posts got deleted during the switch.

Contrary to popular belief, I’m not all NASCAR all the time and as mentioned above I enjoy to read. Some of my favorites books are: The Kyoshi Series by F.C. Yee., The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardguo.

My music taste can range from soft Lo-Fi (Artists like In Love with a Ghost) to alternative/indie rock to the Monkees. I’m kind of go with the flow when it comes to music.

As for YouTube I really like to watch cooking videos and follow along to workout videos from the channels Blogilates and Yoga with Adriene.
