This brand new book is by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi who are known for their past works such as The Emotion Thesaurus and my personal favorites, The Positive Trait Thesaurus and The Negative Trait Thesaurus. I love the level of depth these guides have given to my writing and I recently joined their Street Team, which means anytime Ackerman and Puglisi release a new book or hold some kind of event (or in this case giveaway) I get to tell you all about it!

First off, lets break down The Conflict Thesaurus. This book is set up like the other books in their series: part how-to, part thesaurus. This guide shows writers how to maximize conflict and use it to build tension, drive the plot, reveal your character’s inner layers, and most importantly, keep readers glued to the page.

The book is chock full of different types of conflict scenarios like Moral Dilemmas, Ticking Clocks, Obstacles, No-Win Scenarios, Temptations and more. This book can really help you nail down your plot and character arcs, so make sure to check it out!
